Lots of Steve's songs come to life on the acoustic guitar, which is the best and most versatile instrument for writing songs (in his opinion). Has anyone tried taking a piano into a field on a sunny day? Or down to the beach, perhaps?
Sometimes if a melody arrives awkwardly, he will sing into the memo thing on his mobile just to capture the idea, and then hang chords and riffs around it later if it's an idea worth fiddling with.
So here are a few acoustic numbers, because maybe it is good and healthy to nod politely at something in its raw state.
